I've spent a couple of years looking for the perfect pocket-carry utility knife and, finally, I think I've found it.Sure, I could carry a regular pocketknife like most do, but I'm not good at remembering to sharpen the blade. That leaves me out and about with a full knife-might as well try to cut through packaging, tape, rope, etc. with a spoon. The everyday utility knife, for me, must have certain features. In no particular order:-Folding. Seems obvious, but I do own a utility knife that doesn't fold. It's not for carry, of course.-Faiely small. I really like the other Sheffield I bought awhile back, except for how much room it takes up in my pocket. That knife is great to have around the house or in the truck, though.-Takes standard utility blades. I'm not buying a pack of weird blades if I can avoid it. And with the standard blades, I can get a trillion for six bucks.-No-tool blade changes. Like so many other people, I own the kind you need a screwdriver to open. I never use that knife, as I don't feel like messing with all that just to flip or change one blade.Basically, this little Sheffield does it all.The belt clip is sturdy. It's made of decent metal, unlike a DeWalt I carried for a few weeks or so. When the cheap belt clip snapped, I went back to knife shopping. The body is also solid and, while thee is no padded or comfort grip, the textured metal is easy to grip even with wet or greasy hands.Blade changes are fast and easy. Sheffield uses a locking swivel of sorts to keep the blade in place. The mechanism locks down so, when I'm using the knife, I don't worry about blade slippage. This knife is also small and lightweight, making it a good addition to my pocket. Is there anything I don't love about this knife? Well, I would like the ability to store even just one spare blade on the knife but, because that's not super important to me, I'm not complaining.Oh, and this knife is inexpensive - more so than some of the cruddy ones I tried before adding this to my Amazon cart.Oh, and the blue version has a nice, vibrant color-hard to lose my knife when it stands out from everything else on the workbench.
