The SitBacker canoe seat is designed to fasten to canoe benches by simply clicking the sturdy dual-buckle strap system. BackComfort Technology adjusts the backrest position for customized reclining, while a lumbar cushion provides maximum comfort. Auto-Fold Technology with Portage Lock shoulder strap allows for easy opening, closing, and carrying. The split-contour seat is ideal for both molded and flat canoe benches. The SitBacker canoe seat is constructed of sturdy powder-coated steel and 600-denier polyester. It features a cushiony backrest and storage pocket. The SitBacker canoe seat weighs only 3 lbs, yet supports up to 250 lbs. Measures 12.3 x 16.5 x 17.9 inches when open. Folds to 3.7 x 16.5 x 16.5 inches. The SitBacker canoe seat is ideal for canoeing, but can also be used for watching sports, camping, and picnicking.

I bought this for my sit in kayak bc it came with a soft back chair. I need the hard back metal so I could attach a chair umbrella and kayak chair cooler to it. I do wish the metal had cushioning on it though bc it digs into my back/bottom of my shoulder blades when I lean back on it. It works for what I need it. I didn’t “install” it into my kayak, just plopped it on top of soft chair it already came with installed. (Similar to the person on here with the pink kayak that posted pics)Bought on prime day for the discount.
